About

The Delaware Valley British Studies Seminar is an interdisciplinary forum created by and for scholars living and working in the Delaware Valley and surrounding region, interested in research on Britain, the British Empire, and the British world, broadly defined, across periods and methodological approaches.

Members of the seminar include faculty and graduate students at universities and colleges in the region, independent researchers, and scholars in the area for research. We meet during the academic year — roughly twice per semester, once in person and once online — to share and discuss work in progress.

The seminar is co-convened by Seth Koven, G. E. Lessing Professor of History and Poetics at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, and Ted McCormick, Isobel Haldane Professor of British History at the University of Pennsylvania.
